Description of key information

In an acute toxicity to fish test the LC50 after 96 hours was above 100 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The purpose of this study was to determine the acute toxicity the test substance on Poecilia reticulata. The fishes were exposed over a 96-hour period to a range of 3 concentrations of 1, 10, and 100 mg/L and an untreated control. The study was performed using a static procedure. The study procedure was based on the OECD guideline 203. The following results (on the basis of the nominal concentrations) were determined: No mortality was observed in all test concentrations. One fish died in the control after 72 h of exposure. The LC50 after 96 hours was estimated to be above 100 mg/L. The study is reliable and appropriate as key study.
