General Information

Name:
2,4-Dichlorophenol
Implementation:
EU
Remarks:
2,4-Dichlorophenol is listed in Table 3.1 of Annex VI of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures, amending and repealing Directives 67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC and amending Regulation 1907/2006.
The substance classification does not include a hazard statement relating only to serious eye damage/eye irritation. Since the substance is classified as corrosive to the skin, category IB, the hazard statement H314 (Causes severe skin burns and eye damage) already pays reference to eye damage. Therefore it is deemed not necessary to include any additional classification/hazard statement relating to eye damage.
