Executive summary:

3 mixtures of the test item with sodium sulphate as desensitizing agent were prepared: 23 % [w/w], 33 % [w/w] and 55.5 [w/w] sodium sulphate content. The mixtures were investigated by DSC. Decomposition started at an onset temperature of 280°C respectively. By increasing the sodium sulphate content the decomposition energy was gradually reduced : - 1130 J/g, - 890 J/g, - 590 J/g.

Description of key information

The thermal stability of Aluminium Grey NL (CAS 74196-16-0) and different mixtures containing sodium sulphate as inert desensitizing agent was investigated according to OECD 113 using Differential Scanning Calometry. The following results were recorded:
