In the acute immobilisation test with Daphnia magna (STRAUS), the effects of the Water Accommodated Fractions (WAF) with the nominal loading of 100 mg/L of the source chemicals were determined according to OECD 202 under static conditions over a period of 48 hours. The measured concentrations of dissolved organic carbon in the WAF showed that the test item concentrations were successfully maintained for the duration of the test.

Since both source substances showed no effects on aquatic invertebrates that were exposed to water accommodated fractions of the chemicals the EL50 value is >100 mg/L. Due to the structural similarity of source and target chemicals, it was concluded that the EL50 for the target substance will be >100 mg/l as well.

No inhibition of growth on the freshwater green alga Desmodesmus subspicatus was found after 72 hours exposure to the target substance. Effects were determined according to the principles of OECD 201 under static exposure conditions.

The nominal EL50-values for inhibition of growth rate (ErL50) and yield (EyL50) after 72 hours were >391 mg/L, respectively. The nominal NOEL-values for inhibition of growth rate and yield after 72 hours were for both 391 mg/L, respectively.
