Description of key information

The substanc is not classified as flammable liquid.
The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases in contact with water.
The substance is not a self-heating substance or mixture.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Flammability derived from flash point. The flash point was determined to be >100 °C at 1013 hPa. Thus the substance has not to be classified as flammable liquid.

Based on chemical structure pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

The substance does not need to be classified as self-heating as the substance is a liquid.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Dangerous Substance Directive (67/548/EEC):

Based on the chemical structure and taking into account the provisions laid down in Directive 67/548/EEC, as amended for the 31st time in Directive 2009/2/EG, the substance is not considered to be classified as flammable, flammable in contact with water or pyrophoric.

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008:

Based on the chemical structure and taking into account the provisions laid down in Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008, as amended for the fifth time in Directive EC 944/2013., the substance is not considered to be classified as flammable, flammable in contact with water, pyrophoric, self-reactive substance, self-heating or organic peroxide.
