Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test material has no relative self-ignition temperature.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The relative self-ignition temperature of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.16 under GLP conditions. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria for assessing data quality set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).

The test material was placed into a stainless steel wire mesh cube until the cube was completely full. The cube was then placed into the centre of an oven at room temperature. A thermocouple was placed at the centre of the cube and another was placed into the space between the cube and the wall of the oven. The temperature difference of the oven and sample were continuously recorded while the temperature of the oven was increased to the melting point at a rate of 0.5 °C/min.

Under the conditions of this study, the test material sublimated during the experiment in all three replicates performed and therefore the test material has no relative self-ignition temperature.
