Description of key information

The geometric mean of the Log Koc value for the three soil Types was calculated to be 5.3. 
The arithmetic mean of the Log Koc value for the three soil types was calculated to be 5.3.

Additional information

An adsorption and desorption test with N-[3-(Dimethylamino)propyl]oleamide is not available. Consequently, read-across was applied using a characteristically similar compound, Amides, rape-oil, N-[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]. An adsorption and desorption test for Amides, rape-oil, N-[3-(dimethylamino)propyl] was performed according to adapted OECD guideline for testing of chemicals, No. 106. Known volumes of solutions of the test substance at known concentrations in 0.01 M CaCl2 were added to soil samples and agitated. The amount of test substance adsorbed on the soil was calculated as the difference between the amount of test substance initially present in the solution and the amount remaining at the end of the experiment.
