Description of key information
There is sufficient weight of evidence from several independent sources of information leading to the conclusion that the substance does not exert carcinogenic effects and thus does not have to be classified, because it has no genotoxic properties and additionally, a 90 day subchronic and two 28 d subacute oral toxicity studies in rats did not reveal any neoplastic observations. Furthermore, no structural alerts/hints for genotoxicity or carcinogenicity were found based on literature search

The substance does not have to be classified for carcinogenicity according to the criteria laid down in the EU Classification Labelling and Packaging Regulation (1272/2008/EC) because it has not genotoxic properties and carcinogenicity testing was considered not scientifically necessary.
