Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance can be classified as not surface active with a surface tension of 66.61 mN/m (+/- 0.7 mN/m) measured at 20.1 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
66.61
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
31.5

Additional information

"Should read: 20.1 °C"

The surface tension is changing with time due to hydrolysis.

According to the EU Method A.5 (Surface Tension) a surface tension of 66.61 mN/m (SD 0.7 mN/m) was measured at 20.1 °C. The concentration of the test solution was 31.5 mg/L. The substance can be can be classified as not surface active.

It should however be mentioned that the substance hydrolyses rapidly and therefore the result of the surface tension study may be influenced.
