Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Two studies investigating toxic effects of C12-14AS TEA (CAS 90583-18-9) on Daphnia magna are available. A GLP study was performed according to DIN 38412, part 1, equivalent to OECD 202 (Scholz 1995). Inhibition of mobility of daphnids was determined after 24 and 48 hours of static exposure to test substance concentrations up to 10 mg/L (nominal concentrations in agreement with measured concentration). The results showed that the 48-hour EC50 value was 7.1 mg a.i./L (nominal concentration). The other test was carried out for 24 hours according to a guideline equivalent to OECD 202 (Richterich 2001). Daphnids were exposed to concentrations up to 500 mg/L of a 42% solution of the test substance in water. No analytical measurements were available. The 24-hour EC50 value was 38 mg a.i./L (nominal concentration).
