Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No reliable data are available for the short-term aquatic toxicity of isononyl phosphate to fish. However, reliable data are available for the analogue, Phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester (CAS 12645 -31 -7) and are included in the dossier.

One reliable key study, Goodband & Mullee (2011), with the analogue, Phosphoric acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester,

is submitted for the short-term toxicity to fish endpoint. The study was conducted using a standard approach for testing poorly soluble, multi-component substances, the preparation of a water accommodated fraction (WAF). As such, the effect values are presented as loading rates (e.g. LL50 or EL50), and not measured aqueous concentrations. The 96hr LL50 = >100 mg/L.
