Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The surface tension at 14 mg/L (cmc) has been determined according to OECD 115 and ISO 304 respectively.
surface tension (OECD 115; Clariant report 10-87428.3) = 38.6 mN/m
surface tension (OECD 115; Akzo Nobel report 10-0083) = 36 mN/m

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
38.6
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
14

Additional information

Both studies come to an almost identical value for the surface tension. As key value for theCSAthe value of 38.6 mN/m was used due to the fact that the same study was used to derive the key value for the water solubility.
