Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The submission substance is poorly water-soluble and traditional methods of preparation of test solutions are inappropriate. The substance meets the criterion of a "difficult substance". One reliable short-term toxicity study to aquatic invertebrates is available. The toxicity to freshwater invertebrates was studied by following to OECD TG No. 202 and OECD Guidance document No. 23 on aquatic toxicity testing of difficult substances and mixtures, under GLP. Test organisms (Daphnia magna) were exposed to concentrations of 0, 10, 18, 32, 56, and 100 % v/v saturated solution of substance over a test period of 48 hours (static test). The substance present in test medium was monitored at 0 and 48 hours of the 32, 56 and 100% v/v saturated solution. The measured concentrations were 5.4, 9.5 and 17 mg/L, therefore, the endpoints were based on mean measured test concentrations. The 48h-EC50 was determined to 8.7 mg/L.
