In a key short-term toxicity study in fish (Kurume Research Laboratories, 1994b), conducted in accordance with Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS K 0102-1986-71), Orange-red killifish (Oryzias latipes) were exposed to 1,1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6-tridecafluorohexane at concentrations of 125 mg/L (mixed with dispersant (MEGAFAC F-142D) and diluted with ion-exchanged water) for a period off 48 hours.
