Details on results:
The analysed concentrations for the 24-hour stirred sample were significantly higher than the analysed concentrations for the 48- and 72-hour stirred samples. Based on this, the water solubility of the test item was given as the mean value of the 48- and 72-hour measurements. The analytical system however lacked stability during analysis of the samples. The results obtained were therefore considered as estimated values and it was decided to perform a second main study.

The stability of the analytical system during the analysis of samples from the second main study met the criterion that the coefficient of variation should be ≤ 20%. However, the maximum difference between the 24-, 48- and 72-hour stirred samples was > 15% allowed by the guidelines.

The increase in concentration with the stirring time was not observed in the first main study and therefore not considered to be related to the stirring time. Based on this, repeating the test using longer stirring times was not considered necessary.

Taking into account the results for the 48 and 72 hours stirred samples after excluding outliers (Main study 1) and the results for the 72 hours stirred samples (Main study 2), the water solubility of the test item was determined to be 1.5 mg/L.

Because AsahiklinTM AC-2000 is a highly volatile test item, it is not possible to obtain a more accurate value for the water solubility of this compound.
