Description of key information

The results from the aquatic toxicity studies are as follows:

NOEC (48 h, Daphnia mgana, static) ≥ 100 mg test item/L

LOEC (48 h, Daphnia magna, static) > 100 mg test item/L

EC50 (48 h, Daphnia magna, static) >100 mg test item/L

NOEC (72 h, static, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, growth rate) ≥100 mg test item/L

NOEC (72 h, static, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, yield) ≥100 mg test item/L

LOEC (72 h, static, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, growth rate) >100 mg test item/L

LOEC (72 h,static, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, yield) >100 mg test item/L

EC50 (72 h, static, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, yield) >100 mg test item/L

Additional information

Based on the available EC50 value, the substance does not match the criteria for classification for acute aquatic hazard.

Based on the data available, the classification for chronic aquatic hazard is done according to criteria given in table 4.1.0 (b) (iii) of CLP Regulation.

Based on the results from the aquatic toxicity (values in the range >100 mg/l) and considering that the substance is readily biodegradable and has a log Kow = -1.72 the substance doesn't match the criteria for classification for chronic aquatic hazard.
