Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Workers - Hazard via inhalation route

Systemic effects

Long term exposure
Hazard assessment conclusion:
DNEL (Derived No Effect Level)
Value:
5.18 mg/m³
Most sensitive endpoint:
repeated dose toxicity
Route of original study:
Oral
DNEL related information
DNEL derivation method:
ECHA REACH Guidance
Overall assessment factor (AF):
25
Dose descriptor starting point:
NOAEL
Value:
105 mg/kg bw/day
Value:
130 mg/m³
Explanation for the modification of the dose descriptor starting point:

The no-observed-adverse-effect-concentration (NOAEC) for long-term systemic inhalative exposure was calculated based on a no-observed-adverse-effect-level (NOAEL) of 105 mg/kg bw/day determined in a subchronic (90-day) oral repeated dose toxicity study. Route-to-route extrapolation accounted for corrections for differences in respiratory volume (2.63), differences in bioavailability (0.5), light acivity at work (0.67) and differences between human and experimental exposure (1.4).

NOAEC = 105 x 2.63 x 0.5 x 0.67 x 1.4 = 130 mg/m3

Workers - Hazard via dermal route

Systemic effects

Long term exposure
Hazard assessment conclusion:
DNEL (Derived No Effect Level)
Value:
1.47 mg/kg bw/day
Most sensitive endpoint:
repeated dose toxicity
Route of original study:
Oral
DNEL related information
DNEL derivation method:
ECHA REACH Guidance
Overall assessment factor (AF):
100
Dose descriptor starting point:
NOAEL
Value:
105 mg/kg bw/day
Value:
147 mg/kg bw/day
Explanation for the modification of the dose descriptor starting point:

The no-observed-adverse-effect-level (NOAEL) for long-term systemic dermal exposure was calculated based on a NOAEL of 105 mg/kg bw/day determined in a subchronic (90-day) oral repeated dose toxicity study. Route-to-route extrapolation accounted for corrections for differences between human and experimental exposure (1.4). As a worst-case, oral and dermal absorption rates were considered to be identical.

NOAEL, dermal = 105 x 1.4 = 147 mg/kg bw/day

Explanation for the modification of the dose descriptor starting point:

The no-observed-adverse-effect-concentration (NOAEC) for long-term systemic inhalative exposure was calculated based on a no-observed-adverse-effect-level (NOAEL) of 105 mg/kg bw/day determined in a subchronic (90-day) oral repeated dose toxicity study. Route-to-route extrapolation accounted for corrections for differences in respiratory volume (0.87) and differences in bioavailability (0.5).

NOAEC = 105 x 0.87 x 0.5 = 45.7 mg/m3
