Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Water solubility:
344.3 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Loading of aqueous phase:
391.5 g/L
Incubation duration:
74.5 h
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
>= 8.35 - <= 8.93
Details on results:
Pre-test:
0.1 g of the test item was weighed into a 10 mL centrifuge vial. In a stepwise procedure, increasing volumes of water were added, namely 0.1 mL, 0.5 mL, 1.0 mL, 2 mL and 10 mL (final volumes). After each addition of an amount of water, the mixture was shaken for 10 min and was visually checked for any undissolved parts of the sample.

Added Volume [mL] 0.1 0.5
Approximate Solubility [g/L] > 1000 1000-200
Dissolution no yes

In the main test all filtrated test solutions showed no Tyndall effect (i.e. a laser beam was not scattered when transmitted through the liquid).
