Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The substance was tested according to the principles of EC A.14. In the test for thermal sensitivity no signs of an explosion were observed. Also in the test for mechanical sensitivity (friction and shock) no signs of explosive properties were observed.

Description of key information

In a DSC-measurement the energy of the exothermic decomposition of the  substance was above the threshold of -500 J/g (Consilab 2016). Therefore, a test according to EC A.14 has been performed investigating thermal sensitivity, shock and friction. No signs of an explosion were observed (Laus 2018)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available information the substance does not need to be classified according to EC Regulation No 1272/2008 (CLP) for explosive properties
