Description of key information

The test substance is solid colourless shiny crystals with no characteristic odour and a pH of 5.56. A melting point of 53°C was determined using differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD Guideline 102, and the test substance decomposed before a boiling point could be reached. A relative density of 1.1543 at 20°C was measured using the pycnometer method according to OECD Guideline 109. The vapour pressure, 4.91E-3 Pa at 20°C, was determined using the gas saturation method according to OECD Guideline 104. The partition coefficient, Log Kow, 2.18 at 25°C, was determined using the HPLC method according to OECD Guideline 117. Water solubility of 0.380 g/L at 20°C, was determined with the flask method, according to OECD Guideline 105. Surface tension, 57.90 dynes/cm at 20°C, was determined using a ring method according to OECD Guideline 115. The test substance does not dissociate (no dissociation constant determined) when tested in accordance with OECD Guideline 112. The test substance was not flammable when tested according to EU Method A.10. The hot flame auto-ignition temperature was 345°C when tested in accordance with EU Method A.15. The test substance was not explosive in test to determine its sensitivity to friction, shock, or heating under confinement according to EU Method A.14, and is not considered an oxidising solid.
