Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

While the substance is not readily biodegradable with 28% degradation occurring within 60 days, it does hydrolyse rapidly. Studies on daphnids and algae and also peaks from degradation products observed in an aqueous solubility study can be used to testify to a hydrolytic half-life around 48 h at room temperature and around neutral pH. Thus while degradation products may be persistent, the parent is not.

The log Kow of the test substance is 3.9 and therefore does not meet the screening criterion for B; Breakdown products are generally expected to have a lower log P than the parent.

The substance has an acute toxicity of 1.7 mg/L (96 h LC50 on fish) and therefore does not meet screening criteria for T.
