Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Key study: 44.7 mN/m at 20 °C using a 54 mg/L test solution, OCED 115, EU Method A.5, ASTMS D1331, Givaudan 2012f.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
44.7
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
54

Additional information

Givaudan (2012f) determined the surface tension of the test material to be 44.7 mN/m and was considered to be surface active (surface tension <60 mN/m). A 54 mg/L test solution was tested at 20°C using the ring method. The study was performed to a good standard under GLP conditions using standardised guidelines, and was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the principles for assessing data quality as defined in Klimisch (1997).
