Description of key information

The density of hydrocarbons, C8-C9, isoalkanes is between 0.740 and 0.785 g/cm3 at 15°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The measurement of density or relative density of petroleum distillates by digital density meter is covered by method ISO 12185. A test conducted with this method by Total Fluides (2010) determined the density of hydrocarbons, C8 -C9, isoalkanes to be between 0.740 g/cm3 and 0.785 g/cm3 at 15 °C.
