Description of key information
A reliable reproduction toxicity study with Daphnia magna was identified in which a NOEC-value of 0.059 mg/L was reported for potassium trifluorozincate based nominal concentrations.

A GLP-compliant semi-static reproduction toxicity test withDaphnia magnawas conducted according to OECD 211 as part of a new chemical substance notification in China.
Based on the results of range-finding test, eight treatment groups and one control group were included in the definitive test. Ten Daphnids, individually held were tested for each concentration and the test duration was 21 days. The mortalities of the parent animals in treatment groups varied from 0-10% at the end of the test. The mean number of live offspring produced per parent animal surviving at the end of the test in control group was 81. Hence, the test was considered to be valid. The results showed that based on nominal concentrations, the NOEC for Daphnia magna reproduction was 0.0590 mg/L and LOEC was 0.0880 mg/L. The EC50 was 0.651 mg/L (95% CI of 0.40-1.9 mg/L).Information on Registered Substances comes from registration dossiers which have been assigned a registration number.
