After inhalation:

Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm. Take medical treatment.

After contact with skin:

In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water

After contact with eyes:

In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice

After ingestion:

Call in a physician immediately and show him the Safety Data Sheet. Induce vomiting in case medical help is not readily available and when the patient is concious (Vomit should not go into the respiratoy air tract).

Symptoms: No symptoms known currently.

Treatment: Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: water spray jet, foam

Extinguishing media that must not be used for safety reasons: Full water jet, carbon dioxide, dry powder

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrous gases (NOx), Sulphur dioxide (SO2)

Special protective equipment for firefighting: Use self-contained breathing apparatus

Further information: Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.

Wear protective equipment.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear personal protective equipment.

Unprotected persons must be kept away.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Take up with suitable equipment and if necessary collect in closed containers. Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly with water and detergents, observing environmental regulations. Containers in which spilt substance has been collected must be adequately labelled

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling:

Avoid breathing dust and contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Observe the general rules of industrial fire protection

Exposure controls / personal protection

During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance Art. 18.

Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.

Exposure limit values are not available.

DNEL/DMEL values are not available.

PNEC values are not available.

General protective measures: Do not inhale dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin

Hygiene measures:

Wash hands before breaks and after work. Use barrier skin cream. Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again.

Respiratory protection : Protective mask

Hand protection : Chemical resistant gloves. Minimum breakthrough time (glove): not determined. Minimum thickness (glove): not determined

Observe the information of the glove manufacturers on permeability and breakthrough times and other workplace requirements

Eye protection : safety glasses/face shield

Body protection : protective clothing

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability: Under normal conditions the product is stable.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: When handled and stored appropriately no dangerous reactions are known

Conditions to avoid: None known.

Incompatible materials: not known

Hazardous decomposition products: Sulphur dioxide, Nitrous gases

Disposal considerations

Product:

Product should be be taken to a suitable and authorized waste disposal site in accordance with relevant regulations and if necessary after consultation with the waste disposal operator and/or the competent Authorities

Uncleaned packaging: Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste
