Additional information

Conclusion on classification

Daphnia Magna

EC50, 48 hours = 6.28 mg/L (measured concentration)

Aquatic algae

72-hour ErC50 > 1.11 mg/L (measured concentration)

Algae was noted to be the most sensitive species, although experimentally derived EC50 values for aquatic invertebrates and aquatic plants were noted to be within one order of magnitude of one another

Based on the above results and that the substance is not rapidly degradable with Log Kow>4.4 the substance meets the criteria for classification as Chronic Category 2 to the aquatic environment according to the CLP Regulation (Regulation (EC) 1272/2008, as Adapted for Technical and scientific Progress by Regulation (EC) 286/2011). The applicable Hazard phrase is "H411: Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects"; no signal word is required.
