About 25 g of the test item were used to form the test pile. After the flame application to one end of the pile forming a brown coloration of the sample was visible. An ignition was not detected. According to the guideline the execution of the main test was not necessary.

The moisture content was 0.0 % by mass.

Executive summary:

The flammability properties of sodium dicyanoamide according to the test method A.10 (EC-commission regulation no. 440/2008 of May 2008) were examined in a preliminary test. After the flame application to one end of the pile forming a brown coloration of the sample was visible. An ignition was not detected and thus, execution of the main test was not necessary. 

The substance sodium dicyanoamide is not highly flammable according to the criteria in Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, test method A.10.
