Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to EU method A10, the test substance is not considered to be highly flammable. Also, the test substance does not ignite spontaneously when in contact with water or humid air.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

In a GLP compliant study, performed according to EU method A.10, the flammability of the test substance was determined (RCC 2005). The flame of a gas burner was used as a ignition source. The test substance could not be ignited with a flame, but it started glowing. Therefore it could be concluded that the test substance is not highly flammable. Furthermore, it was concluded based on the molecular structure that there is no risk with respect to pyrophoric properties. This was confirmed by previous performed studies.

Justification for classification or non-classification

As the test substance is not flammable, shows no pyrophoric properties and does not show the potential of evolving flammable gases in contact with water or humid air, classification is not needed according to the Directive 67/584/EEC and according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
