Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Inhalation: Move affected person to fresh air. If you feel unwell, consult a doctor.

Skin contact: Take off all contaminated clothing. Wash immediately with plenty of soap water.

Eye contact: Rinse immediately with water for at least 15 minutes and seek mediacl attention.

Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. Drink plenty of water. Get medical help.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media:

-Suitable: water mist, carbon dioxide, foam

-Unsuitable:---

Special exposure hazards: Do not release chemically contaiminated water into drains, soil or surface water. Sufficient measures must be taken to retain water used for extinguishing. Dispose of contaiminated water and soil according to local regulations.

Firefighters: Use full protective clothing for chemicals and self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Do not ingest or breathe in. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Environmental precautions: Prevent contamination of soil, drains and surface waters.

Clean up: Take up mechanically and place in suitable, closable container for disposal, avoiding formation of dust.

Handling and storage

Avoid dusting. Dust clouds from finely particulated pigments may be hazardous. Dust explosion risk. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective equipment

Respiratory protection:

Suitable respiratory protection for lower concentrations or short-term effect: Particle filter with medium

efficiency for solid and liquid particles (e.g. EN 143 or 149, Type P2 or FFP2)

Hand protection:

Chemical resistant protective gloves (EN 374)

Suitable materials also with prolonged, direct contact (Recommended: Protective index 6,

corresponding > 480 minutes of permeation time according to EN 374):

e.g. nitrile rubber (0.4 mm), chloroprene rubber (0.5 mm), polyvinylchloride (0.7 mm) and other

Supplementary note: The specifications are based on tests, literature data and information of glove

manufacturers or are derived from similar substances by analogy. Due to many conditions (e.g.

temperature) it must be considered, that the practical usage of a chemical-protective glove in practice

may be much shorter than the permeation time determined through testing.

Manufacturer's directions for use should be observed because of great diversity of types.

Eye protection:

Safety glasses with side-shields (frame goggles) (e.g. EN 166)

General safety and hygiene measures:

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wearing of closed work

clothing is recommended.

Stability and reactivity

Conditions to avoid:

Avoid electro-static discharge.

Substances to avoid:

strong oxidizing agents

Hazardous reactions:

Dust explosion hazard.

Hazardous decomposition products:

carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, toxic gases/vapours

Disposal considerations

Must be dumped or incinerated in accordance with local regulations.

Contaminated packaging:

Uncontaminated packaging can be re-used.

Packs that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of in the same manner as the contents.
