Additional information

Reaction mass of N-(1-oxooctadecyl)sarcosine and N-hexadecanoyl-N-methylglycine (EC 947-850-7) is readily biodegradable according to OECD guideline criteria based on experimental data for a structurally and chemically closely related source substance. Thus, it is expected to be rapidly degraded by microorganisms in aquatic and terrestrial environments, including biological sewage treatment plants. Therefore, further simulation testing on biodegradation of the substance in water, sediment or soil is not necessary, according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex IX 9.2.1.2 – 9.2.1.4.
