Additional information

Hydrolysis:

In accordance with REACH Annex VIII column 2, the study for the whole test item does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable and highly insoluble in water.

Biodegradation:

The biodegradation of the test item was 72.8% within 28 days (after acidification) in an OECD 301B-test.  The test item reached the criterion of ready biodegradation (> 60 % after 28 days).

Bioaccumulation:

The test substance is not bioaccumulative (BCF = 24.62).

Adsorption/Desorption:

Based on a calculated log Koc of 6.987 (Fatty acid, C16, 2 -butyloctylester) or 7.508 (Fatty acid, C18, 2 -butyloctylester)

(MCI method) or 7.818

(Fatty acid, C16, 2 -butyloctylester) or 8.36 (Fatty acid, C18, 2 -butyloctylester)

(log Kow method) the whole test substance is expected to have a high potential for binding in soil and sediment. The McCall classification scheme classifies the substances as immobile in soil (Koc>5000).
