By using the density of 2.3 g/cm³, and the conversion between thickness, rod morphology and specific surface area, (RAUSCHER, ROEBBEN et al. 2015, Gibson, Rauscher et al. 2016, Wohlleben, Mielke et al. 2017) the obtained MSSA is 40 m²/cm³ * 100nm/24nm / 2.3 g/cm³ = 72 m²/g.
