Final Results

The thermal stability of Dehydrothiotoluidine monosulfonic acid was determined according to the OECD Guideline 113. Samples of the test item were weighed into glass crucibles. All samples were exposed to a temperature/time-gradient while the thermal heat-flow was recorded. No decomposition (exothermic reaction) or chemical transformation was observed below 150°C. The test item Dehydrothiotoluidine monosulfonic acid showed a beginning melting/decomposition reaction at a mean temperature onset of 330°C. The endothermic melting peak directly changed to an exothermic decomposition peak with a mean energy of 35 J/g.

The test item Dehydrothiotoluidine monosulfonic acid was considered to be thermal stable at room temperature
