Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: use water spray (fog), foam, dry powder, or carbon dioxide, as appropriate for surrounding fire and materials.

Specific hazards arising from the substance or mixture: during combustion may form toxic fumes: nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon oxides ( COx ) , sulfur oxides (SOx) and chlorine.

Advice for firefighters: in case of a fire, keep containers cool with water and remove from fire area. Wear full protective clothing and an approved, positive pressure, self-contained breathing apparatus. Wash all equipment thoroughly after use.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: remove ignition sources. If substance is released or spilled, take proper precautions to minimize exposure by using appropriate personal protective equipment. Area should be adequately ventilated. Do not breathe dust. Consider the use of appropriate respiratory protection.

Environmental precautions: do not empty into drains. Avoid release to the environment.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: do not raise dust. Ventilate the area and wash the areas affected only after you have completed the collection of the material. Avoid the use of oxidizing agents for washing the affected areas.

Handling and storage

Handling: avoid exposure. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flames. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and other mucous membranes. Wash thoroughly after handling. Avoid breathing dust.
