Description of key information

There is no test performed with didecanoyl peroxide. The Log Koc of this substance is read-across from data obtained with dilauroyl peroxide. The study was performed using the HPLC method. The retention time of dilauroyl peroxide was higher than the retention time of the reference item (2,4 -DDT) with the highest Log Koc (5.63). Therefore, it has been concluded that Log Koc of dilauroyl peroxide is > 5.63. As the carbon chain length for didecanoyl peroxide is higher, a higher value of log Koc is expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There is no test performed with didecanoyl peroxide. The Log Koc of this substance is read-across from data obtained with dilauroyl peroxide.

The adsorption study was performed using the HPLC method. Using the standard reference values the log Koc was found to be higher than that of the highest reference substance. Therefore, it can be concluded that Log Koc of dilauroyl peroxide and didecanoyl peroxide is higher than 5.63.
