Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
November 4, 2019
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling Point)
Type of method:
differential scanning calorimetry
Boiling pt.:
> 400 °C
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
> 260 - < 340 °C

CR SB3A was found to decompose from approximately 260℃. As CR SB3A decomposed, no value for boiling temperature could be determined. Therefore CR SB3A has no boiling temperature in the experiment.

Conclusions:
According to OECD 103, the boiling temperature of CR SB3A is >400 degree.
Executive summary:

The determination of the boiling temperature of CR SB3A was performed in accordance with OECD 103. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used. CR SB3A was found to decompose from approximately 260℃. As CR SB3A decomposed, no value for boiling temperature could be determined. Therefore, CR SB3A has no boiling temperature in the experiment.

Description of key information

The boiling temperature of CR SB3A is > 400 ℃.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
400 °C
