Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The acute toxicity of Hydratropic Ald DMA to Daphnia magna was determined in a 48-hour static test according to the OECD 202 and following GLP. In this study, groups of Daphnia magna (4 replicates of 5) were exposed to 0.0, 6.25, 12.5, 25.0, 50.0 and 100 mgL. Nominal target concentrations were analytically verified, and mean measured exposure concentrations determined to be 6.21, 12.5, 23.6, 47.6, and 95.1 mg/L, i.e., 94 to 100% of the targeted nominal concentrations. Immobility of daphnids was recorded after 24 and 48 hours exposure. The test is valid. After 48 hours exposure, no effect on mobility was observed up to and including the test concentration of 100 mg/L.The 48-hour EC50 was determined to be ≥100 mg/L based on nominal concentrations, because analytical concentrations were 90 -100% of nominal.
