Details on test solutions:
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION (especially for difficult test substances)
- Method: A 2000 mL stock solution was made at a concentration of 3.2 mg a.i./L, and sonicated for 60 min. It was then brought to final volume and stirred for 60 min. Aliquots of the stock solution were then diluted to produce the final test solutions, which were stirred for 15 min.
- Evidence of undissolved material (e.g. precipitate, surface film, etc.): None

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
The 48-hr EC50 for aquatic invertebrates was 1.4 mg a.i./L.
Executive summary:

The 48 -hr EC50 for aquatic invertebrates was tested in an OECD Guideline 202 study. Groups of Daphnia magna were exposed to concentrations of 0.18 mg a.i./L, 0.34 mg a.i./L, 0.66 mg a.i./L, 1.5 mg a.i./L, or 2.6 mg a.i./L (measured), for 48 hrs. 60% immobility was seen in the 1.5 mg a.i./L group, and 100% immobility in the 2.6 mg a.i./L group. No immobility was seen in other groups. The 48 -hr EC50 was therefore 1.4 mg a.i./L.
