Classification according to CLP

(Z)-3-methyl-2-(pent-2-en-1-yl)cyclopent-2-enone (CAS 488-10-8) is readily biodegradable and is not significantly bioaccumulative (log Kow < 3.0, REACh/4.0, GHS). The lowest available effect concentrations for short-term and long-term toxicity were obtained for aquatic algae, with an ErC50 (72 h) of 38.0 mg/L and an ErC10 (72 h) of 18.0 mg/L (nominal, OECD 201, P. subcapitata), respectively. Based on the available data compiled above, (Z)-3-methyl-2-(pent-2-en-1-yl)cyclopent-2-enone (CAS 488-10-8) is not classified and labelled for environmental hazards, according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (dated: 01.01.2017) and further amendments (ATPs).
