A preliminary test was performed to check the approximate freezing temperature of

MTDID 8191. The test item was stored 21 hours at -20 °C in a freezer. As the sample was

not frozen after this time the freezing temperature of MTDID 8191 is below -20 °C.

During the main tests, about 5 mL of the test item placed in a small test tube were cooled

down from room temperature to about -36 °C using a dry ice and acetone mixture.

At –35.5 °C (1st test) and –35.0 °C (2nd test), res pectively, the test item was frozen by

visual judgement.
