Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The PBT Assessment for the test substance is based on the criteria set out in the “Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.11: PBT Assessment” (ECHA, 2012).

Persistence

The test substance was not readily or inherently biodegradable in standard studies according to OECD 301 F (0% after 28 days) and OECD 302 B (0% after 28 days). Thus, the test substance meets the screening criterion for persistence and is considered to be vP.

Bioaccumulation

Based on the log Kow value of < 0.3, the test substance is expected to have low bioaccumulation potential.

Toxicity

The NOEC for algae is 3.8 mg/L and thus clearly above the trigger value of 0.01 mg/L. Further long-term data are not available. Furthermore, the test substance is not classified according to Directive 67/548/EEC and Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 for environmental or human health hazards. Thus the criteria set out in Annex XIII of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 are not met and the test substance does not fulfil the T criterion.
