Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In IUCLID Chapter 6.1 Endpoint Summary the available toxicity data for the aquatic compartment are given. No hazard was identified for fish, daphnia, algae and microorganisms up to the water solubility of the substance. Based on these findings it can be assumed that also in the terrestrial compartment no hazards will be identified and terrestrial toxicity studies are not warranted. In addition lipids like the registration substance are rapidly metabolised in soil by lipases to glycerol and fatty acids being natural compounds.

Furthermore, the substance is not supposed to be directly applied to soil. Based on the PC properties of the substance (low solubility in water, low log pow), a low adsorption potential is indicated. Therefore, binding to sewage sludge is unlikely and as a consequence a transfer to the soil compartment is not expected. Therefore, it can be assumed that there is no direct and indirect exposure to the environment.
