Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

If released to the atmosphere, vapour phase MMT(2-EHTG) will be degraded by photochemically induced hydroxyl radicals, with a half-life of ca. 9.4 hrs. A Henry’s Law constant of 4.598E-06 atm m3/mol predicts that MMT(2-EHTG) will volatilise only minimally from surface water; half-lives from a model river or lake are 350 hours and 168.6 days, respectively. Based on Level III distribution modelling it is estimated that the majority of MMT(2-EHTG) released to the environment will partition into soil (65.7 %) and sediment (17.4 %), with a somewhat smaller amount in water (16.5 %).

The MMT (2 -EHTG) has shown to be readily biodegradable. It is expected to rapidly degrade once introduced into the environment.

Modeling results show that MMT(2 -EHTG) has a low potential for bioaccumulation.
