Filter Paper

Test - 1 The test material initially remained on the filter paper before gradually soaking into the paper. There were no signs of any reaction, fumes, charring or ignition of the filter paper.

Test - 2 The test material initially remained on the filter paper before gradually soaking into the paper. There were no signs of any reaction, fumes, charring, or ignition of the filter paper.

Test - 3 The test material initially remained on the filter paper before gradually soaking into the paper. There were no signs of any reaction, fumes, charring, or ignition of the filter paper.

Interpretation of results:
other: non-flammable according to EU criteria
Conclusions:
The test material was determined to be non-pyrophoric.
Executive summary:

The pyrophoric properties of the test material have been determined using Method A13 Pyrophoric Properties of Solids and Liquids of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of May 30 2008, in accordance with Council Directive 98.8/EC, Annex II.

The test material was determined to be non-pyrophoric.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

The pyrophoric properties of the test material have been determined using Method A13 Pyrophoric Properties of Solids and Liquids of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of May 30 2008, in accordance with Council Directive 98.8/EC, Annex II.

The test material was determined to be non-pyrophoric.

In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, it is considered that testing of flammability on contact with water is not scientifically necessary. The substance has been handled and used safely for many years and has exhibited no signs of reaction with water to emit flammable gas. Numerous aqueous studies have been carried out with the material and produced no evidence of the generation of flammable gas.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with the criteria for classification as defined in Annex I, Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, the substance does not require classification with respect to flammability
