Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Poor absorption of the test material by normal routes of exposure precludes significant bioaccumulation.

Bioaccumulation potential:
low bioaccumulation potential

Additional information

There is no relevant toxicokinetic information available for the subject chemical. Based on the available physico-chemical characteristics of the subject material and on a general lack of significant in vitro or in vivo toxicity for the subject chemical or the surrogate chemical, undecenyl methoxycrylene, it is assumed that the subject chemical will be poorly absorbed by both the oral and dermal routes of exposure. This is reflected in the low acute oral and dermal toxicity noted for the surrogate material and low repeated-dose oral toxicity of the surrogate material. In addition, an extremely low vapor pressure of 0.000000025 Pa precludes significant exposure by the inhalation route. The subject chemical is not expected to be ionized at pH values found within the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, a lack of water solubility and high log Pow value further suggest that both oral and dermal absorption of the subject chemical will be low.
