ECOTOX

After comparing the short term toxicity values from predictions done in QSAR rtoolbox 3.1 & estimated data from ECOSAR & ECOTOX. it was estimated values varies from 3.296432972 to 10 mg/l . But the BCF value of 3,5-diiodosalicylic acid reported was not >= 500 as well as the substance was found to be rapidly degradable. Since the additional criteria mentioned in the CLP regulation related to BCF, biodegradability and Log Kow is not satisfied thus the substance has not been considered for aquatic toxicity classification. It is concluded that 3,5-diiodosalicylic acid does not exhibit short term toxicity to fish.

After comparing the short term toxicity values from predictions & estimated calculation. It was found to be varies from 1.889201522 to 7.097 mg/l. But the BCF value of 3,5-diiodosalicylic acid reported was not >= 500 as well as the substance was found to be rapidly degradable Thus considering only the value from CLP Criteria for aquatic classification of the substance , it is concluded that 3,5-diiodosalicylic acid does not exhibit short term toxicity to Aquatic invertebrate (Daphnia magna).

After comparing the Toxicity to algae and cynobacteria values from QSAR 3.1 predictions & estimated calculations. it was found to be varies from 3.954 to 25.221 mg/L The BCF value of 3, 5-diiodosalicylic acid reported was not >= 500 as well as the substance were found to be rapidly degradable. Since the additional criteria mentioned in the CLP regulation related to BCF, biodegradability and Log Kow is not satisfied thus the substance has not been considered for aquatic toxicity classification.
