Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon, nitrogen and

agents are water, foam, carbon dioxide and dry powder.

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Powder: Sweep up and dispose of by incineration or at a
landfill site. Solutions: Absorb using suitable material,
collect and dispose of by incineration or at a landfill
site.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at an approved landfill site is possible.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. Waste gas treatment should be used to
remove sulphur and nitrogen oxides.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Less than 5% of the total used is discharged into internal
industrial effluents as a highly diluted solution.
Prepurification plants should be used before discharge from
dyehouses and papermills.
