Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient from exposure.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with running water for at least 10 minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash substance from mouth with water. Drink water (250 ml)
to dilute stomach contents.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Recommended extinguishing agents: Carbon dioxide, foam or
dry powder may be used.
Product arising from burning: Products arising from pyrolysis: Combustion products may
contain carbon and nitrogen oxides and toxic products
together with some soot.
Protective equipment: Protective equipment: Wear a self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Handling and storage
Handling: Do not inhale dust, use appropriate methods to avoid dust
inhalation. Avoid prolonged skin contact, wear polyethylene
gloves.
Storage: Store in sealed containers, label according to
classification.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Other dangers: High dust concentrations may be explosive,
as is typical for other organic dusts.
Chemical reaction with water: Chemical reaction with water: None reported.
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is possible by using solvent extraction
with tetrahydrofuran.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. Incineration at an approved facility
equipped with waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen
oxides. Take appropriate precautions to avoid dust
formation.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Recovery from water purification systems by filtration is
possible.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
