First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from exposure site to fresh air and keep at rest.

Obtain medical advice.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush immediately with water for at least 15 minutes.

Contact physician if symptoms persist.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothes. Wash thoroughly with water (and

soap). Contact physician if symptoms persist.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water and obtain medical advice

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam. Do not use a direct

waterjet on burning material.

Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide and unidentified organic compounds may be

formed during combustion.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Use goggles, and chemically resistant gloves as needed. In

cases of major spill a self-contained breathing apparatus is

recommended.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Clean up spillage promptly. Remove ignition sources. Provide

adequate ventilation. Avoid excessive inhalation of

vapours. Gross spillages should be contained by use of sand

or inert powder and disposed of according to the local

regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Apply according to good manufacturing and industrial hygiene

practices with proper ventilation or exhaust and use

personal protection. Avoid skin contact, use chemically

resistant gloves, goggles or self contained breathing

apparatus which is recommended in some cases such as major

spills.

Avoid elevated process temperatures where possible. When

possible use closed material tranfer processes. Do not

drink, eat or smoke while handling. Respect good personal

hygiene.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry and ventilated area away from heat

sources and protected from light in tightly closed original

container. Avoid uncoated plastic and uncoated metal

container. Keep air contact to a minimum. Keep away from

drains, surface and ground water and soil. Avoid contact
