Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. Keep victim at rest. Consult a
doctor in event of any complaints.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash out plenty of water with the eyelid held wide open for
at least 15 minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash off affected skin with
plenty of water. Consult a doctor in event of any
complaints.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. Consult a doctor in event of any
complaints.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, CO2, A.F.F.F., dry chemical
Product arising from burning: COx, NOx
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Self contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Use appropriate personal protection (airlined respirator or
P2 dust mask/rubber gloves/safety goggles or face
shield/working clothing). Prevent forming of dust clouds. Do
not allow to enter natural waters or soil. Do not allow to
enter sewerage system. Collect spilled material. Clean up
affected area with water. Remove all kinds of dust layers.
Finely dispersed particles might be sensitive to dust
explosion.
Handling and storage
Handling: Wear suitable protective clothing. Ventilation recommended.
Prevent forming of dust clouds. Take precautionary measures
against static discharges.
Storage: Keep in cool place. Keep container dry.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 70 ltr fibre drums, with 2 antistatic PE-inner lined bags.
